Personal Information
At GITDEC, we intend to give you as much control as possible over your personal information. In general, you can visit GITDEC on the Web without telling us who you are or revealing any information about yourself. There are times, however, when we may need information from you, such as your name and address. It is our intent to let you know before we collect personal information from you on the Internet.
GITDEC may ask you to register and provide information that personally identifies you ("Personal Information") in certain circumstances, including for example when you order e-mail newsletters, submit a form or join a limited-access premium site. We use your Personal Information for three primary purposes:
If you choose to give us personal information via the Internet that we or our business partners may need -- to correspond with you, process an order or provide you with a subscription, for example -- it is our intent to let you know how we will use such information. We will respect your wishes if you tell us that you do not wish to have this information used as a basis for further contact with you. We keep track of the domains from which people visit us. We analyze this data for trends and statistics, and then we discard it.
If you do not want GITDEC to send you e-mail or postal mail regarding GITDEC products or services, you may opt out when you give us your Personal Information (by selecting the option stating that you do not wish to receive such
marketing materials from GITDEC). Where opting out of receiving e-mail or postal mail regarding GITDEC products or services does not make sense (for example a product request form), opting out will not be possible.
If you begin a registration form, then decide you don't want to finish it, just click the reset button on the bottom of the page. You may then use the navigation buttons in your browser, or enter a web address manually. None of the information entered on the page where you quit will be saved. However, information entered on previous pages (if applicable) may be saved.
We have implemented these practices for the GITDEC Home Page (www.gitdec.com). We are also encouraging our business partners to include information on privacy practices everywhere information is collected on their Web sites.
